December To Do List

December To Do List

Pinch Punch First of The Month! Another month been and gone, but December is always a good one to enjoy. Obvious reason being Christmas, still difficult to believe it has been nearly a year since the last one. But now I can enjoy a daily chocolate from my advent calendar on the countdown to it. As with any other month I have a list of things I want to get sorted out, especially now before the new year begins. But first to let you know how I got on from my list for November.

November To Do List Debrief

Write a To Do List Daily- This is the main one I have definitely kept to throughout November. I am obsessed with writing lists and ticking things off every night before bed. I find it keeps me motivated and definitely allows me to remember things I need to get done and sorted out before the end of the day. Even if I just write down a few household chores or something, I love that feeling of ticking it off and knowing it is all sorted out.

Plan For Christmas- 100% Sorted. I find myself smiling as I type that and the feeling that fingers crossed I will have no sort of Christmas panic or worry about finding something to buy people because I have it all sorted. Cards, decorations, presents, wrapping paper, even a tree, all sorted and I could not be more excited for it.

Bonfire Night- As this was very early on in November I actually forgot what I did, but I did manage to see a fireworks display and have a couple of toasted marshmallows (amazing). I felt like a child again with having a few sparklers and writing my name with them.

Go To Bed Earlier- Hmm I am getting there with this one. I tend to stop watching Netflix so late and read a book or magazine so I feel sleepy. The latest I go to bed now is around 1 in the morning, which still is not great but is much better than being up till 4 or 5. With it being cold out, by the time I go to bed with it all warm and cosy it has definitely made me feel a lot sleepier at night time.

Do A Blog Week- I end with a big fat FAIL. Yes so this did not happen at all because I hardly blogged at all throughout November due to me indulging in my social life and having a shed load of work. Frustratingly I really wished I had done this one out of the rest, but I might have a sneaky go at it in December, we shall see.

So here is my to do list for this month.

December To Do List

Try A New Exercise
I know most people tend to think about exercise after Christmas and usually make New Years Resolutions to get fitter. But for myself I want to start before then. I go for a run every so often and do general exercise but I want to try something new, like start yoga or something that is more toning for your body. I need to research it a little more and work out what it might be that I can do by myself and at home, but I am thinking that it might be quite relaxing to do. Do not worry I am still going to be eating loads over Christmas and eating about 20 roast potatoes in one day. But I really want to get started now so that my body muscles can adjust.

Watch A New TV Series
I am very picky when it comes to TV shows, I usually prefer to know somebody in them that I recognise or it has to fit a weird criteria in my head. The one that is on my list to watch is Homeland because most people I know cannot stop talking about it and how good it is. I guess for me it is not something I would usually be eager to watch so I am a little reluctant, but I feel like I have to branch out a little. My biggest flaw with TV is that I love watching shows I have seen before over and over. But then it seems to stop me from trying to watch something new. Homeland is top of my list to watch at the moment and hopefully it will be fairly easy to catch up on.

Make A New Header
Why oh why have I still not done this. When I first started this blog I wanted to change my header but I have yet to even give it a go. I think a lot of it is down to my lack of computer skills and I want something more designy (made that word up) than just font, if that makes sense. But as somebody who usually would daydream in any IT lesson I ever had in school it is annoying I do not have more of an idea on how to get it sorted. When I look at different blogs I always see new and different headers and really am bewildered as to how people achieved them. This is my biggest and important part of my blog I want to get sorted out so that it has a bit of a refresh and represents me and my blog. Obviously any tips or any websites you would recommend, please do let me know.

Get Christmasy
This year I told myself to wait a little while into December until I start putting any decorations up, but then I thought screw that. It is pretty much the main holiday that people look forward to each year and I might as well make the most of it. So these next couple of days, I am going to be Christmas tree decorating, hanging lights up and putting tinsel in every place I can. Wrapping presents will be put on hold until nearer Christmas, but I am just super excited to start making my home into a little Christmas grotto.

Be Merry and Enjoy 2014
Whilst you really are supposed to make the most of every moment and day that comes your way, it is easy to sometimes take it all for granted. I think it is usually around this time when we start to realise how fast the year has gone by and that 2015 will soon be upon us. Even though I am excited for some time off to enjoy Christmas and new year, I also do not want to be wishing the time away. For me I want to just really enjoy the last month of 2014 and make the most of it. It all goes by so fast and I think for me I need to live a little more in the moment than waiting for something exciting to happen.

There we have it my December To Do List. I hope you enjoyed this, it always is a great way of motivating me to get stuff done I find. As I did not blog that much this month, I am going to make a concious memo in my head to blog as often as I can throughout December. Besides I am looking forward to reading a load of Christmas themed posts.

I would love to know if you are excited about Christmas this year? and if there is anything in particular you want to get done this month? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you have a lovely Monday!

  1. Ahhh I am the same with TV shows, I am perfectly fine watching the same shows over and over again (like Once Upon a Time or Dexter) but I know I shouldn't because it stops me from watching new ones... I am actually looking for a new show to start so I will check out Homeland! Good luck with all of your goals!
