The June Playlist

The June Playlist

Flashlight // Jessie J
I still have not managed to see Pitch Perfect 2 yet but I did have a sneaky listen to the soundtrack and this Jessie J song stood out for me. I am not ashamed to say but I am one of these people who likes to sing in the shower, whilst my voice is definitely not as good out loud as it sounds in my head (sidenote- don't you just hate it when you hear a recording of your voice and it shocks you at how different you thought your voice sounded?), anyway this has been a favourite of mine to have a go at.

Born To Be Wild // Wilson Pickett
Who doesn't like a bit of old school music! Even though I wish I was some sort of leather jacket wearing biker when I hear this song, it is a really good one to play whilst your driving in the car on the open road.

Live A Little // Florrie
I think Florrie is one of those artists that has been around for a while but not many people know her music. I would start off with this song if you want to give her a listen, the song is upbeat and catchy plus it is a fun song that reminds you to be young and live.

Come And Get It // John Newman
I sense this is going to be a big summer anthem, it is all I have been hearing played on the radio and I like to pop it on full blast. I like this guys music as it has a real soulful feel to it, I'm excited to listen to some of his new songs. It has a catchy beat and the words are pretty easy to pick up.

Late Spring Walk

Late Spring Walk

Over the past couple of weeks I have been going on morning walks in the countryside. My favourites have been a local park and following a canal trail where you walk alongside the water surrounded by flowers and woodland. I have always been a big lover of springtime because it has a feeling of renewal, starting a fresh and in the countryside you get to feel that a little more with animals being born and different colours popping up. Whilst summertime is just around the corner (officially this weekend coming) I thought I would snap a few pictures of what the countryside looks like in late spring.
