Treacle Moon My Coconut Island Body Butter

Treacle Moon My Coconut Island Body Butter

I guess you would say we are in the depths of winter now in the UK although apart from the odd chilly evening it hasn't felt much like winter, it has felt a bit more like monsoon season due to all the rain we have had. Despite this, the temperature has definitely dropped and because of that my skin is at risk of being dry. After a bath/shower it is even more important to make sure you are putting that hydration back into your skin. One day on a quick shopping spree for essentials I came across the Treacle Moon My Coconut Island Body Butter and here are my thoughts on it.

One of the reasons I find moisturising my body such a chore is that I hate that feeling afterwards where it feels sticky and you have to wait 20 minutes before you can put clothes on again. As this product is a body butter it is very thick and rich in consistency so I did expect that to be the case. My feeling with this cream however is that a little goes a long way, so you only need a small bit and it rubs in easily without leaving a horrible tacky feeling on your skin. Saying that though if you do use a lot of the product then you might find it a little harder to sink in. A body butter always feels more heavier than a lotion and so you only need the tiniest amount to moisturise.

Even though it is technically winter I still love the smell of coconut, but I figure this would be amazing in summer. They have a body lotion of the same scent which would be ideal for the hotter weather (here's hoping we get some). The scent smells like a fresh coconut, but I personally find that if I smell it for too long in the container it starts to smell quite sweet. However I think compared to a lot of other coconut scented products I have tried the smell isn't offensive and it also stays on your body for a long while afterwards.

I found this in my local Tesco but I think the brand also stock in Waitrose too. One thing that stood out for me was the price, originally it costs £3.99 but in Tesco they always have different offers, so I think I bought it when it was on a half price offer. I would pay the full price for it anyway because I think it is a really great nourishing body butter that moisturises my skin and smells great. But of course the main selling point for me is that it is vegan friendly and cruelty free so I had to buy it to try it out.

I have used a couple of products from Treacle Moon previously and they have always been really amazing for such a bargain price. They also do other fragrances too which I am keen to try out next, here is a link to there website if you fancy a nose.

Have you tried any products from Treacle Moon before? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!

Hope you are having a lovely day ☺
