Crazy Rumors Raspberry Sherbet Lip Balm

Crazy Rumors Raspberry Sherbet Lip Balm

Wherever I go I will take a lip balm with me, especially in the colder months because my lips just cannot hack it. I'm definitely a lip balm girl over a pretty lipstick, usually because they are a lot easier to apply but also due to there helpful qualities. Personally I was getting a little tired of using lip balms that required me to apply them from the pot, and trust me I only felt like that when I was outside with gloves on and had to keep taking them off whenever I needed to reapply. So I began the hunt to look for an easy lip balm to use that required no fingers but also moisturised. Here are my thoughts on the Crazy Rumors Raspberry Sherbet Lip Balm.

Firstly it is important for me to point out that this brand of lip balms does not just make a Raspberry Sherbet scent, in fact they have so many different scents that it took me a solid 10 minutes to decide which one to buy. I love fruity scents so I was more interested at looking at them, they had Orange, Lemonade, Apple Spice, Bubblegum, to name just a few so take a good look what is on offer. The colour of the packaging changes slightly too, depending on which scent you choose. I also think there are a lot of scents that aren't in the UK in stores but you can get some online.

I had heard about Crazy Rumors before but had never picked anything up from them, and it was only when I switched to cruelty free that they soon were on my shopping list. All of there lip balms are vegan and cruelty free (and they have the little symbols to prove it) but I mainly picked this up because of the natural ingredients. I'm guessing the ingredients might differ slightly with different scents but in mine it has all natural organic goodness with Jojoba oil and Shea butter. The Shea butter was a big tick in my box because it is such a great ingredient for moisturising your skin so in my opinion it works great in a lip balm.

Now in terms of the scent mine is Raspberry Sherbet and from my nose it smells to me like a bitter raspberry, quite sour which I think matches the name of the product. It also doesn't taste bad, not that I am in the habit of eating my lip balms. However it doesn't taste like it smells so it isn't edible but it does taste a little sweet at first and then subsides after the longevity of wearing it.

The packaging is very simple and just reminds me of an easy lightweight lip balm I used to have at school. Whenever I go back to a lip balm that is in a tube and twists I never understand why I moved away from them in the first place because they are so easy to carry around and are super convenient without getting any product on your fingers. I bought this from Holland & Barrett for £3.50. The price I think is very reasonable for a natural ingredient product that is cruelty free. A lot of other brands that are organic or natural really push there prices up so I would say personally I am happy to pay this amount.

What I love most of all is how it works, honestly I use this all through the day but I see a difference when I apply it before bed and wake up with fully moisturised lips and no sort of dehydrated shrivel (haha shrivel) that can happen when they need hydration. I adore the convenience of using this, I can just apply it with or without gloves and also if you are a germaphobe you are not putting more bacteria into the balm like with pot lip balms. Overall after applying, it gives my lips a nice subtle glossy shine and just makes them look really healthy so it is definitely a big thumbs up for me.

Have you tried any of the lip balms from Crazy Rumors? What did you think?

Hope you are having a lovely week so far ☺
